As a coach, I’ve noticed that bouncing back after a tough loss can be really challenging for some of my players. It’s important to help them process their emotions, but I’m curious what techniques others have found effective in lifting spirits and building resilience. How do you address this type of situation with your teams?
At the youth level where there are so many distractions, it is still important to make sure that the kids are having fun. Yes there needs to be disipline but if the kids are not enjoying their time on the field, it is really hard to motivate. Nobody wants to spend the weekend yelling at kids to play better, Parents and Athletes included. If your athlete progresses on to the High School or Competitive Club level, there will be plenty of Educating and Coaching
